Founded in 2018 by University of Pennsylvania students Alex Ingerman, Dylan Ingerman, and Cole Mattox, First Generation Investors (“FGI”) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that teaches high school students about investing, giving them the tools and knowledge needed to participate in the investment economy and make sound personal finance decisions. Unlike most financial literacy programs, FGI brings its classroom lessons to life by providing students with real money to invest upon completion of the course. Since its founding, FGI has expanded its program from three students to over 700, supported by nearly 300 volunteers, and is present in over 35 universities and school districts throughout the U.S. www.FirstGenerationInvestors.com

Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) emerged from the front yard lemonade stand of cancer patient Alexandra “Alex” Scott (1996-2004). In 2000, 4–year–old Alex announced that she wanted to hold a lemonade stand to raise money to help find a cure for all children with cancer. Since Alex held that first stand, the Foundation bearing her name has evolved into a national fundraising movement, complete with thousands of supporters across the country carrying on her legacy of hope. Northwestern Mutual, through the Northwestern Mutual Foundation, announced its new multi–year philanthropic program to fight pediatric cancer. Read more: Northwestern Mutual Fights Childhood Cancer. The financial security company has teamed up with two leading national nonprofit organizations focused on fighting childhood cancer and helping families, Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) and Starlight Children's Foundation™ (SCF). Through these partnerships, Northwestern Mutual will activate a range of programs and events in communities across the country. We’re bringing the joy of camp to kids fighting cancer at children’s hospitals

Northwestern Mutual — through its Foundation — recognizes the unique experience and support that camp provides to children and families undergoing treatment for cancer. To bring the joy and feeling of camping to children who are unable to travel due to health status, the Northwestern Mutual Foundation provided $50,000 in grant awards to help create a hands-on camp experience for children undergoing treatment.
